True Custom Dyno Remapping & Calibration

We have been tuning and remapping cars for more than 45 years and unlike the many hundreds of remapping companies out there we actually tune and remap cars on a daily basis.

It takes a good tuner to tell if another company is any good so most people choose a remapper by price, this results in many people having a poor experience with a remap as over 95% of companies offering remaps just upload files they have bought online from the many file providers, most of whom have no idea how an engine works never mind how to tune a car and they just increase parameters by percentages in an attempt to increase power. For the record most "file suppliers" such as Quantum charge from £20.00 to £50.00 for their percentage remaps which they call Custom and Dyno Proven, scary isn't it? How much do they charge for uploading a mass produced generic file?

We are one off a very small number, maybe as low as 2% of all those individuales and companies offering remaps.

Custom Dyno Remaps

We produce our remaps using industry leading software development tools to exacting standards on our own in-house 4x4 rolling road Dynamometer. To remap a car on our dyno we carry out the following :-

  • Check the vehicle over
    • This includes
    • Reading for stored error codes
    • Checking for oil and water leaks
    • Checking for exhaust leaks
    • Condition and Date of Tyres
    • Condition of Brakes and Disks
  • Mount the vehicle on our Dyno
  • Strap down and check for security
  • Download the ecu software from the car
  • Select the maps that will be calibrated using Damos information
  • Alter the maps to provide the desired output of the vehicle
  • Upload the tuned file to the vehicle.
  • Run the vehicle in the selected gear and log the output at varying loads and speeds, including
    • O2 or Lambda
    • Knock
    • Airflow
    • Manifold Pressure
    • Boost
    • Torque in Nm
    • Power in BHP
  • We then evaluate the data and compare with our expectations
  • The Maps are adjusted in line with the results
  • We then upload and run the vehicle on the dyno again logging the results
  • We repeat the Dyno, Logging,Evaluation and Calibration steps until the car is tuned to perfection.

Custom Stage 2 & 3 Remaps

Often components that have a significant impact on the vehicle calibration are replaced to increase performance, these include but are not limited to :-

  • MAF Sensors
  • MAP Sensors - 2 Bar, 3 Bar, 4Bar etc
  • Injectors - to increase fuel levels 
  • Turbos

We are able to rescale these components and recalibrate Boost actuators and solenoids allowing your car to take advantage of the extra capabilities.
