Range Rover P38 Inspection

We are asked almost daily by P38 owners to give their pride and joy a good check up, we do this with pleasure and check the car from top to bottom and provide a report in the condition of the complete vehicle, This allows our customers to make informed decisions about the short and long term plans for their P38.

We not only advise on the condition we also offer suggestions on the order that any required issues that we identify should be attended to. Sometimes our customers work through these faults and improvements over a number of visits over months or years, other times our customers are able to make an informed decision to complete all the work in one go.

Restore your Range Rover P38

We are frequently asked to inspect everything from ordinary P38's to Special and Limited Editions, with very low through to high mileage, to restore the vehicle to a Fully Working example right through to Concourse level, the choice is available to whatever you the owner prefer.

We also have cars brought to us from all over Europe for us to inspect and repair or restore as required.

Performance & Handling Upgrades

Petrol & Diesel Remaps

We have been remapping both the Petrol and Diesel ECU's on P38 Range Rovers for many years, with our own 4x4 Rolling Road Dyno we are able to safely get the most out of these engines giving more torque and power throughout the rev range and particularly in the most used range between 1,800 and 3000 rpm, our development work has also eliminated the flat spots too. 

We can remap your Range Rover P38 as a while-you-wait service in our workshop or you can send your Engine ECU to us and still have the benefit of over 30 years experience of tuning the P38 Range Rover. We have developed our Range Rover P38 tuning or remap on our own in-house 4x4 Rolling Road Dyno giving improvements that have both stood the test of time and still surprise our customers to this day.

Range Rover P38 Suspension and Handling

We can repair and upgrade the handling and remove the boat-like feel of the P38, Our handling upgrades really do transform the feel of your P38 Range Rover, retaining the upmarket feel of the car while making it go round corners as if its on rails.

Restore the EAS Suspension to original

We are asked almost weekly to remove the springs that previous owners have  fitted to the P38, this crazy move removes all the handling qualities, sits the car too high at all times and stops the car accessing Motorway and Access Modes. We fit replacement Air Bags and repair the faults that was the reason for the change to springs in the first place.

Often people buy the Range Rover P38 with springs fitted as the values is so much lower due to the simple fact that on springs the vehicle is uninsurable due to the fact that the vehicle becomes unsafe and dangerous, removing the air suspension and fitting springs makes the vehicle dangerous and far more likely to roll over at speeds over 50MPH. Upgrading to quality Air Bags and the shock absorbers and steering dampers improves the feel, handling and performance of the P38 beyond measure and gives a much more modern feel to the vehicle.

Gearbox Flushing

We offer gearbox flushing which really transforms the P38 which has often either covered many miles or with low miles rarely got hot enough to keep the oil in good condition, considering the fact that the gearbox manufacturer specifies complete gearbox oil changes every 70,000 miles and the only way to do this is with a specialist flushing machine like ours its hardly any wonder that most automatic gearboxes are changing far to early depriving the engine of the opportunity to rev properly and in the process putting the engine under unnecessarily heavy load.

Every P38 owner, without exception has been stunned at the enhanced performance and feel of the car following our specialist gearbox flush and 99.9% + oil transfer.
