The 2.0 JLR Ingenium engine suffers a number of issues with the engine, ranging from accelerated engine wear and loss of enging power and torque and failure of the timing chain all made worse by insuficient oil changes (service intervals are rediculous for this engine,needs Six Monthly Oil Changes at a minimum) all made worse by Engine Oil Fuel Dilution due to engine design and short journeys.

The ingenium 2.0 Diesel Engine Timing Chain should be replaced every 60,000 Miles or Every 7 Years at an absolute maximum, wise owners should look at 40,000 miles or 5 Years and six monthly oil changes!

Engine Model Fitment

The 2.0L Ingenium diesel engine is a modular, efficient powerplant developed by Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and is used in various Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. It comes in different power outputs, typically ranging from 150PS (148hp) to 240PS (237hp), and features turbocharged and twin-turbocharged configurations.
